Jefferson House is located in Cheshire and is a former vicarage. The large and well appointed home is set out over three floors, and offers ample space to be able to provide care for up to five young men. All bedrooms are en-suite with large and comfortable living spaces and can be personalised by residents. Jefferson House also has a separate on-site DfE registered school, offering bespoke education packages for the young men resident in the home. There is also a designated clinical room, supporting the delivery of our ‘Well Being for Life’ recovery model. Jefferson House has ample grounds surrounding the house, and the young men are encouraged to take an active role in gardening, including growing vegetables for the home.
Jefferson House provides a specialist therapeutic programme for young men (aged 11 to 18) who have invariably been victims of trauma and abuse themselves and have gone on to display sexualised behaviour. At Jefferson House we pride ourselves on separating behaviours from the child, and acknowledging the victim status of our young men, supporting them through our three phase ‘Well Being for Life’ programme to enable them to move into less supervised, community based placements.
