As a senior supervising social worker you will be required to work in close liaison with the Registered Manager to develop the fostering service. You will be required to Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, by providing support, supervision and training as appropriate. In conjunction with the Registered Manager you will investigate incidents or complaints in line with procedural reporting as required by Ofsted. You will assist with monthly, auditing and monitoring all matching, placement plans/care plans, health and education plans, permanence plans and where appropriate pathway plans. You will also assist with monthly, auditing and reviewing risk assessments and behaviour management plans. Along with this you will supervise the supervising social worker/s as required and carrying complex cases and/or making decisions in complex cases.
Essential minimum requirements for the role are:
Experience in a child care setting
Knowledge of the Children Act 1989
Knowledge of National Minimum Standards 2011 and The Fostering Standards 2011 and other relevant legislation
Knowledge of child protection procedures
A full driving license
