Fostering in Merseyside
Merseyside is largely urban with a population of around 1.4 million people, and it includes the city of Liverpool.
Fostering in Merseyside is a hugely rewarding process. Many children that are fostered have come from difficult and sometimes traumatic backgrounds that may have involved levels of crime or abuse, and they need support to rebuild their lives.
We are a small Merseyside fostering agency dedicated to helping both the children and the foster parents. Because of our small size, we are able to be with you every step of the way and to assist you to support your foster child through their initially difficult adjustment stage and then to become a confident self-fulfilled person as they step out into the world on their own.

If you are considering a career as a foster carer, you need to be aged over 25, have a spare bedroom for each child and be able to offer round-the-clock care. You also need to be in good health and be CBR-checked. In addition to this you will need an understanding attitude and plenty of energy.
As a Merseyside foster care agency, we offer many different types of fostering. Therapeutic fostering assesses a child’s progress on a three-monthly basis. Fostering may be short-term and last from just one night up to a few years. Long-term fostering involves offering a child a place in your home until they are an independent young adult. Emergency placements involved immediate and sometimes same-day care. Enhanced placements are for those children who have challenging behaviours and need advanced levels of care. Parent and child fostering involves placing both the parents and a child within your home.
