Learning & Development
At C4C we truly believe that working with children is a skilled profession, and requires the highest levels of training and professional development. Our years of experience have taught us that training is not all classroom based, and so we have a combination of face to face training, online courses, on-the-job training, and continuous supervision and development.
“The overall job is rewarding and if you’re willing to put the work in, there are endless opportunities to progress up higher. I started off as a Residential Care Worker and progressed to a Senior Residential Care Worker thanks to the help of Care 4 Children and support getting my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.”

“I started as a residential care worker and was fortunate to have great mentors and training, giving me the opportunities to move through the ranks – I want us to replicate this to support every staff member who wants to progress to achieve their potential, and allow us to ‘grow our own’ senior talent”
Kamran Abassi – MD
The MDP is our own in-house programme, delivered by a combination of external trainers and internal senior individuals who share their knowledge and expertise. It is intended to build future managers, providing the tools and knowledge to support ambitious deputies/seniors to make the step into being a registered manager. Our ambition is to fill at least 75% of all manager vacancies with internal candidates, developed and supported via the MDP programme.
Ann Marie started at Jefferson House as a therapeutic care practitioner. Her manager saw great potential and mentored her through a combination of training, support and supervisions leading into a senior role, and then a deputy role. Ann Marie was enrolled on the Management Development Programme, and took over the manager role at Jefferson House in January 2017.
